BRIAN'S BIO

Developed a passion for exercise and fitness during my undergraduate career at the University of Maryland. By the time I graduated, I was working out all the time--sometimes twice a day. My first job out of college was as a swim coach for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. I also worked as a master's swim coach for adults for Montgomery County Dept. of Recreation. While coaching, I began to notice the positive effects that exercise had on both adults and children. The more I coached, the more I wanted to help others improve their health.

In 1990, with the support and encouragement of my family, I enrolled in a master's of science program in Health/Fitness Management at American University in Washington, DC. During the next few years, I submerged myself in learning all there was to know about health, fitness, and all aspects of exercise. I worked at the Army Materiel Command Fitness Center in Alexandria, VA, and did my internship at the West End Executive Fitness Center in Washington, DC. Eventually, I narrowed my focus to personal training. At 28, I had finally figured out my life's mission.

After graduate school, I worked as a fitness instructor at the Athletic Express health club in Gaithersburg, MD, and later as Fitness Director for the Army Research Lab in Adelphi, MD. Finally, I began my work as a personal trainer for the health club Sport and Health in Mclean, VA. At that time, I began to dream of starting my own personal training business. So, after a year of working as a personal trainer, I believed that I had acquired the ability, knowledge, experience, and motivation to succeed in my own business.

During my career as a personal trainer I have spoken to numerous groups and organizations about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise and fitness. I have been heard all over the world via radio and the world-wide web on WUST- New World Radio. Brian lives in Derwood, Maryland with his wife, and three girls.
